During the Spring 2009 Parent Survey, Pointe
Schools once again received overwhelmingly
positive feedback. Parents were asked to rate the
education their child received; excellent, good, fair,
or poor. Like last year, 99% of the parents
responding said the education provided by Pointe
Schools was either excellent or good. However, this
year more parents gave their school the highest
rating of excellent.

Field Day
Pointe's Parent Ratings Rise
Testing for new students entering first through sixth
grade begins on Tuesday, June 9. Assessments
will take place each Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. during the
month of June. Please call the office to schedule an
appointment. During testing, students will be
assessed in reading, spelling, and math to gain
baseline data and determine placement for our
reading and math blocks. Although every student
tests at his/her own pace, testing generally takes
between 1 to 1 ½ hours. During this time parents
are welcome to wait in the office or may leave a cell
phone number to be contacted if the student
finishes early.
The kindergarten assessment will be given on
June 24th and 25th at 9 a.m. (scheduled according
to each child’s birth date). The test has both
individual and group components. We will contact
you by phone to schedule this assessment.
