Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name. These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being identified as the result of an Internet search. Softball and Baseball seasons begin
January 19th marks the start of Canyon and Pinnacle's third sports season, softball for girls and baseball for boys. The 4th through 6th grade
intramural sports seasons have continued to be successful and this years softball and baseball season will be bigger than ever. Last year both
Canyon and Pinnacle had one team of each. This year, based on our information meetings we will have more students participating then in the
past. This will allow the intramural schedule to be more diverse with more teams playing in the weekly games and in the tournament which will lead
to the championship games that are scheduled to be played on March 10th at Canyon Pointe. All students interested in playing must complete an
Athletic Informed Consent form and the $25.00 participation fee prior to the start date.

Canyon promotes Sportsmanship
Canyon and our sister school, Pinnacle Pointe Academy, are working together to promote an environment that ensures team work and
sportsmanship through our 4th-6th grade recreational intramural league. Not only are the students learning the skills needed to play the sports
they are also being taught the concept of team and working together. Pinnacle Pointe and Canyon Pointe, along with the involvement of Parents
are also working to ensure academic achievement. Each student is required to maintain a specific grade point average in order to be considered
eligible to play the specific sport. If a student falls under that eligibility, they are placed on an improvement plan that works with the Coaches and
the student's teachers. With several seasons already in place, the athletic program offers a range of sports that also allows for students to have
involvement in more than what they are typically use to. Students who have not previously played the sport are given a weeks time to 'try the sport
out' and then sign ups take place. With everyone working together the athletic programs are sure to be a success.
