As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership.  Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name.  These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search.  However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

Canyon Cares
Canyon's community outreach program, Canyon Cares, provides students, faculty and parents the
opportunity to care for others by

focus on several projects throughout this year.

season, Canyon Care assists the less fortunate, During the Winter, Canyon Cares focuses on mentoring
our future with The Prep students providing mentoring to Pointe Schools' elementary students. In the

Holiday Sharing Program
Over the holiday season, Canyon Cares will assist the less fortunate with three different programs.  The
St. Mary's Food Drive is a class competition where students bring in canned food that will go to benefit
those in need and less fortunate.  The Holiday Angel Tree has angels with gift ideas listed on the back of
the angels for girls that live in The Garden House Foster Group Home.  Students may choose an angel,
with permission from their parents, and provide Holiday joy to the children of the home.  Gifts are
returned to the school so they may be delivered with the Holiday dinner that will be provided by CPA to
the girls.  Our final project will be a whole school effort to create holiday greetings to the children of
Arizona currently in the foster care system.

It is through the commitment of the students, faculty, parents and supporters of Canyon that we will make
this holiday season a joyful one for others.
Prep Mentors
North Pointe students spent 4 weeks working
with Canyon and Pinnacle’s 3rd-6th grade
students to enhance their knowledge on
Character Education.  Mentoring took place for
one hour each Friday in September.  The
Mentoring Program focused each week on one
of the four subcategories under the "Everything
Counts' theme; Create Energy, Impact Others,
Avoid Detours, and Build Forever.
