As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership.  Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name.  These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search.  However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

Pointe Schools is Committed to the Four A's
Academics
The 2009 AIMS results were made public on July 15, 2009 and once again Pointe Schools posted scores among the best in the state. This year
Pinnacle Pointe Academy was one of six schools in the state (and the only school in Glendale) to have 100% of its fourth graders meet or exceed the
state standards in all three areas: reading, writing, and mathematics. Another impressive achievement: Every sixth grader in the district passed the
AIMS writing test. That means 100% of the sixth grade at Canyon Pointe Academy and Pinnacle met or exceed the standards in writing. The sixth
grade at Pinnacle also attained a 100% passing rate in math. All three schools posted outstanding reading scores including Canyon’s 90% in fifth
grade, North Pointe Preparatory’s 93% in tenth grade, and Pinnacle’s 94% in sixth grade. Math scores for Pinnacle’s fifth grade were an impressive
91% meets or exceeds. North Pointe Prep’s eighth grade, the year when most schools see a drop in AIMS scores, posted big numbers instead with
96% meeting or exceeding the state standards in writing. “The addition of the Prep Cares AIMS tutoring program this year was very successful,” said
Richard Gow, Assistant Superintendent and Prep Principal. “This year’s scores also highlight the commitment of Pointe’s teachers’ to ensure every
student’s success.” Jody Johnson, the founder and Superintendent of Pointe Schools, noted, “The yearly test results remind us that Pointe students
not only have fun and enjoy school but are part of an excellent academic program. That balance continues to be important to our families and sets us
apart from other top performing schools.” North Pointe Preparatory is one of only seven public schools in the State of Arizona accredited by the
prestigious North Central Association as a College Preparatory School. NCA is one of the largest accrediting associations in America and
accreditation ensures that North Pointe meets the highest standards of educational excellence.

Athletics
It is amazing what Pointe Schools has accomplished in its brief seven year history in athletics. From the early days of scrimmaging, to actual
competition in the Arizona Interscholastic Association's 2A Central League, North Pointe has come a long way fast. "In the beginning we tried to play
anyone we could just to get our athletic teams established," said Jody Johnson, Pointe Schools Superintendent. "To be honest, we got beaten up a
lot."  Those early losses, however, did not cause the Prep to lose heart or re-think its commitment to athletics. In fact,  their passion to one day be a
school of academic and athletic excellence was renewed with every competition. That passion culminated during the 2005-2006 school year as the
Prep played in the State Championship game in four of the Charter Athletic Association's five Varsity tournaments. They won the Baseball and
Softball State Titles and were runner up in Volleyball and Girls Basketball. That same year the Prep's Varsity Cheer team experienced an amazing
year winning National and International tournaments culminating with their victory in front of thousands at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
The Prep's Jr. High athletics have also excelled winning four straight Titles in Football and the 2007 Jr. Metro Baseball Championship. Pointe Schools
is also committed to athletics at the elementary level and with the addition of Canyon Pointe and Pinnacle Pointe's new courts and fields, 4th-6th
graders are competing in after school intramural athletic programs.

Arts
Pointe Schools is pursuing excellence in the Arts with the same passion and commitment as it has with academics & athletics. The Prep recently
created a new administrative position, Director of Arts, and completed several renovation projects including a new 1800 square foot band room, a
choir room, guitar and piano labs, and a remodeled performing arts theatre. In addition, the Prep has doubled the size of its Arts instructors over the
past two years. Pointe Schools is also bringing Arts to the elementary level with music instruction, choir and theatre after school programming, and
sixth grade band instruction from Prep faculty.

Activities
In the current “entertain me” climate, many schools are in a daily battle to balance providing a quality education with keeping students interested and
excited. Pointe has found that balance. The Pointe School’s experience provides students with more than reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Purposefully woven throughout the school day and year are opportunities to learn about and develop character, understand and practice leadership
skills, and have a great time with friends. The result of our balanced approach? Our students not only excel academically, they enjoy school!
The Four 'A's' are not unique to Pointe Schools. Schools have been
offering athletic and arts opportunities to students for years and school
dances and other campus activities have been central to high school life
for decades. So what makes Pointe Schools so unique? That it excels at all
four "A's'. Few, if any, schools can make that claim.

Academics
The Prep has received national recognition for its commitment to excellence
in Academics. Students are challenged with honors, advanced placement
and dual enrollment opportunities.

The Pointe Elementary Schools provide a quality foundation for each years
knowledge to grow. Pointes's Academic programs meet and often exceed
the Federal Government's No Child Left Behind legislation and State
standards.

Athletics
As the second largest of 41 High Schools in the Arizona Interscholastic
Association's 2A Division, the Prep offers 10 Varsity Sports and already
has two State Championships in only their third year competing.

Canyon and Pinnacle Pointe Academy are working together
to promote an environment that ensures team work and sportsmanship
through our 4th-6th grade recreational intramural league.  Not only are the
students learning the skills needed to play the sports, they are also being
taught the concept of team and working together. Our intramural after
school sports programs for 4th-6th graders includes volleyball, football,
soccer, basketball, softball and baseball.

Arts
The Prep's Arts are truly second to none. North Pointe has the only
Marching Band and Color Guard in the 2A, the Falcon Players present
five plays each year, the Speech Team has won numerous awards
including a State Championship in the dramatic category, the Falcon
Singers perform at various school and community events and preptv
posts thousands of pictures and videos on preptv.org.

Canyon and Pinnacle's music, art, computer skills, and band specials, as
well as the numerous after school programs, provide students with
opportunities to express themselves.  Through the Young Rembrandts Art
Program, students can develop an appreciation of art and foundational
artistic skills.  Together, the integrated arts program gives our elementary
students a well-rounded education and an academic advantage in the
classroom.

Activities
An interested party only need view the hundreds of pages on preptv.org
that highlight the Prep's activities to understand that North Pointe has a
unique campus culture. From dances that are turned into huge events
to spirit weeks that become extravaganzas, every activity is "Prep'd Up"
so that students have the opportunity to develop relationships and
create memories that will last a lifetime.

Canyon and Pinnacle's activities are designed to enrich the lives of our
students and families and build a stronger community.  Each
quarter, North Pointe Prep students come to the elementary schools to
lead a day of activities; focusing on one of the A's.  Each elementary school
has a Student Government to assist in the development and leading of
our 4th-6th grade, 120's (120 minutes of fun). Activities at the 120’s include
dances, gym nights, movie nights, and much more. Our goal is to create
opportunities for each student to develop relationships and create
memories to last a lifetime.
The Pointe Purpose
Pointe exists to assist parents in developing students who demonstrate
scholastic and behavioral excellence and make a positive impact in their
community.

The Pointe Promise
Pointe will provide students the opportunity to gain foundational
knowledge, grow in character, and develop leadership skills.

The Pointe Plan
Pointe is passionate about creating and sustaining environments where
students are valued, trusted, and encouraged to take risks and
achieve their dreams in academics, athletics, and the arts.
