From the beginning, Pointe Schools has focused on academic excellence
resulting in year after year of high test scores.
Pointe Schools has also focused on providing student athletes the
opportunity to compete at a level of excellence similar to that found in the
classroom.
The accomplishments for Pointe in academics and athletics has been
amazing. Each year the three Pointe Schools rank above average and last
year Pinnacle Pointe earned the State's prestigious rank of Excelling.
The Prep has become a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association
competing in the 2A Central Region in Varsity volleyball, football, basketball,
baseball, softball, and cheer. Recently, in their first season competing in the
AIA, the Prep's Varsity Cheer team placed 2nd in the State Tournament.
Now, Pointe Schools is pursuing excellence in the Arts with the same passion
and commitment as it has with academics & athletics.
The Prep recently created a new administrative position of Director of Arts
and completed several renovation projects including a new 1800 square foot
band room, and performing arts theatre featuring state of the art sound,
lighting, and video capabilities.
In addition, the Prep is doubling the size of its Arts instructors to include a
traditional arts teacher, a choir director, a theatre director, an electronic arts
teacher, two band directors and an additional instructor for Jr. High choir and
theatre.
Pointe Schools is also bringing Arts to the elementary level. Kindergarten
through fifth grade will continue to participate in music specials while 6th
graders will have choir, band, and theatre opportunities lead by Prep faculty.
