Aaron Flannery is an admissions counselor at Arizona State University and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. A hard working father of eight, Aaron is dedicated to the field of education and developing the future of the next generation.
Kenneth Johnson brings 30 years of experience in business and finance to the Corporate Board. He has worked for JP Morgan Chase (formerly Valley National Bank and Bank One) since graduating from Arizona State University in 1984. He is currently Chase Bank’s Financial Analysis Manager for Commercial Real Estate, Western Division. His primary responsibilities include performing profitability analysis and budget forecasting. Mr. Johnson has served on the Corporate Board since Pointe’s founding. He is also the proud father of two North Pointe Alumni.
Sam Sutton, North Pointe’s first valedictorian, brings a unique perspective to the Board. After graduating from North Pointe, he studied business marketing at Grand Canyon University. He has spent over 15 years as a businessman including building and training a national sale team, handling contracts, and raising capital.
Abigail (Abby) Garcia has been a member of the Pointe Schools community since 2008. She passionately believes in Pointe’s commitment to balancing an intense academic environment alongside arts, athletics, and activities, and the importance of the school working with parents to build a strong academic foundation, building character, and leadership roles for their students. Mrs. Garcia has worked in higher education in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors for the past 21 years. Her areas of expertise include federal and state compliance, accreditation, business financials, and veteran services. She has been recognized by The U.S. Department of Education, the State of Arizona, and the Department of Veteran Affairs for excellence in these areas and has served as a consultant for numerous colleges. When asked why she decided to become a member of PES Corporate Board of Directors, Abigail said, “It is my duty as both a parent and a member of this community to ensure that learning environments like Pointe Schools remain accessible to all. Our students deserve the opportunity to thrive in a setting that prepares them to become the future leaders of our community and beyond.”
Dr. Jody Williamson
Dr. Williamson (formerly Johnson) is Pointe’s Founder and Superintendent and has been dedicated to education in Arizona since becoming a teacher over 25 years ago. Dr. Williamson holds a Doctorate in Leadership and Innovation from ASU, a Masters of Education is in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Speech with a specialization in Secondary Education and English from Grand Canyon College (now GCU). She is active in Arizona’s public education communities, and has a passion for charter and district leaders working together for the common good, especially on policy issues. For the past seven years, Dr. Williamson has been a governor-appointed Commissioner on the Commission for Post Secondary Education.
STATEMENT OF LOCATION FOR ALL NOTICES OF THE MEETINGS OF THE POINTE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, INC GOVERNING SCHOOL BOARD
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, Pointe Educational Services, Inc. dba Pointe Schools hereby states that all notices of the meetings of their Governing School Board and any of its committees and sub-committees will be posted at least 24 hours in advance at the District Conference Center as well as on the following district website: pointeschools.org
Such notices will include the date, time, and place of the meeting and will include an agenda.
The regularly scheduled meetings for Pointe Schools Governing School Board are the second Thursday of July, October, January, and April at 6:30pm but may be subject to change. Meetings are held in the North Pointe Prep Theatre located at 10215 North 43rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85051.
